Last year the exhibition reached the record numbers of 73,584 participants, 142 participating countries and 3,104 exhibitors covering an area of 113,526 m2 with an attendance of 110,055 business and public visitors, becoming therefore the biggest and most successful show in the history of the event.
The Big 5 Dubai , together with the two co-located shows, PMV Live and Middle East Concrete, will be held in Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Big 5 is the most important building and construction show for the Middle East, North Africa and East Asia region for the building materials and provides a business and networking platform for the construction industry. The Big 5 Dubai started its continuing evolving existence before 35 years, originally under the name The Big 5 Show, due to the separation of activities in five sectors. Throughout the years reached the eight sections and included coatings, adhesives, sealants, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), water technology, steel construction, building interiors, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, doors, cladding.
Today the brand name has expand into new areas , to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Indonesia and East Africa organizing the construction industry events : The Big 5 Saudi in Jeddah , The Big 5 North Africa in Casablanca , The Big 5 Kuwait , The Big 5 Construct India in Mumbai , The Big 5 Construct East Africa in Nairobi , The Big 5 Construct Indonesia in Jakarta.
This expansion leaded to the result that The Big 5 network today includes more than 300,000 suppliers and buyers from 120 countries of origin worldwide, dealing with the all the construction sectors.
From this year the exhibition re- organized its product sectors presenting a new floorpan in order to become easier for the participants to find the products they are interested in and the key suppliers to do business with.
